Remember that for germination, many species need just moisture and warmth. But right after that, they also need light and nutrients. Have it all ready, all set up for them. Watch the light - I mean, keep the grow lights close enough, not too close to the tops of the seedlings. Keep their little roots warm enough. There are charts galore online and in gardening books that specify which plants need which temperature range. Do you have a cold frame?
