Date: May 18th, 2009. Last night, in our neck of the woods, we dodged a freeze. I half expected one, because the weather forecast was for mid-30's, and we often see night temperatures five degrees below the forecast for the area. That is the advantage of keeping your own records, and making observations. You can end up with adjustment factors to help you plan. We covered most of the new plantings, figured the potatoes could handle 30, and brought in the potted tomatoes. We only have nine. Tonight we are expecting colder temperatures, so we will cover up again. This is how I expect spring to be: unpredictable on a daily, even weekly basis. May, 2009 Show Full Year
