Category: Garden Tasks How much compost will you need this year? Will you make your own, buy bags, buy in bulk, or some of each? It is not too early to decide where your compost bin needs to be (whether you are moving it or setting it up for the first time). Does the old one need repair or replacement? Talk to neighbors, friends and relatives to see if you can get materials for making a bin from them. Palettes have been used successfully, and simple bins are easily made from chicken wire.
